KY Board-Unlicensed Practice of Engineering

On July 29, 2008 the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors issued a letter to all Kentucky Governmental Agencies and Organizations outlining concerns over Landscape Architects performing engineering design services on segmental retaining walls.

Sand and Glacial Till Soil

This short video briefly shows a gray, very stiff undisturbed sandy, silty clay (Glacial Till) in Ohio at the base of a retaining wall being constructed.  Also, we discuss why sand is such a good material for use in the geogrid reinforced zone of a segmental retaining wall.
